What is the Annual Air Toxics Report?
The Annual Air Toxics Report is a review of the activities of the Toxics Protection Branch over a specified year. Toxic air pollutant information is gathered from air monitoring sites across the state. This information is assessed to determine risks of long-term exposures to toxic air pollutants. This report describes:
- types, locations and frequency of samples that are collected,
- toxic air pollutants collected and analyzed,
- overall quality of these data,
- evaluation of these data in terms of risk from long-term exposure,
- investigative studies, and
- accidental releases of toxic air pollutants from industrial facilities.
