The final "Redesignation Demonstration and Maintenance Plan for the Rocky Mount, North Carolina 8-Hour Ozone Nonattainment Area" State Implementation Plan (SIP) package was submitted to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) on June 19, 2006. The narrative documents that the Rocky Mount area has attained the 1997 8-hour ozone national ambient air quality standard, fulfilling requirements of Section 175A(b) of the Federal Clean Air Act as amended. The transmittal letter, narrative, and appendices are available through the links found below.

On February 7, 2011, the Division of Air Quality submitted to the USEPA a Supplement to the Rocky Mount maintenance plan, revising the motor vehicle emission budgets for transportation conformity purposes. The transmittal letter and the supplement documentation are available through the links found below.

The Supplement made revisions to select pages of the Redesignation Demonstration and Maintenance Plan Narrative, Appendix B - Hearing Report and Appendix C.3 - Mobile Source Inventory Documentation. Below are the documents affected by the supplement with the new pages inserted.
