AERMOD Meteorological Data Sets

For PSD AERMOD meteorology click here. For all other applications, the preprocessed data sets below are required in NC for AERMOD use, unless specifically approved by one of the AQAB staff. To download the desired data set, click on the appropriate line below. All data sets updated March 2008, except Asheville.

  Asheville^* (surface) / Greensboro (upper air)
  Charlotte (surface) / Greensboro (upper air)
  Greensboro (surface) / Greensboro (upper air)
  Norfolk, VA (surface) / Wallops Island, VA (upper air)
  Raleigh-Durham (surface) / Greensboro (upper air)
  Wilmington (surface) / Charleston, SC (upper air)
  Hickory (surface) / Greensboro, NC (upper air)
  Beaufort (surface) / Newport, NC (upper air)

^* For modeling in some western and northwestern counties of NC you may need to contact the AQAB directly to discuss meteorological options.
