The Clean Smokestacks Act, passed in June 2002, required DAQ to study potential control of CO2 emissions from coal-fired utility plants and other stationary sources. The required reports and other information related to CO2 emissions are listed below. This effort has also prompted actions to develop a climate action plan (CAP) for North Carolina.
- Clean Smokestacks Act, Interim and final CO2 Reports
- Related CSA CO2 Documents
- Climate Action Plan Development Documents and Reports-Pending (for review and final) Procedures, Protocols, Meetings, Facilitation Agreements, Mitigation Options, Interfaces with the NC Legislative Commission on Global Climate Change (LCGCC) , etc.
