Yes. Do not burn outdoors on Code Orange, Red or Purple days in areas with air quality forecasts. DAQ and local air programs issue forecasts for the following metropolitan areas across the state-Asheville, Charlotte, Fayetteville, Hickory, Rocky Mount, the Triad and the Triangle. To check the forecast, visit the DAQ forecast web site at www.ncair.org or call toll-free 1-888-784-6224.
