Academic Assistance Program
The academic assistance program provides management with a means to support academic activities that directly relate to the organization's knowledge, skills, and behaviors.

The academic assistance program is not an employee benefit, right, or entitlement; it is a management program for workforce development. The academic assistance program provides reimbursement of academic costs if funds are available, and/or time off the job if the course is available only during working hours.

To receive Academic Assistance, an employee shall:
  • Complete an application (PD-136) and forward it to your immediate supervisor. Click here for Academic Assistance Application Form
  • Once approved by your supervisor submit the application to DAQ Human Resources for review and approval. Submit the form prior to enrollment to allow time for review, approval and notification.
Employees applying for academic assistance should receive a written response from management regarding approval/disapproval of academic assistance requests, which notes any changes in the application or conditions of approval.
