Subject: Ozone Action Day Tomorrow, MM DD, YYYY

The North Carolina Division of Air Quality has forecasted that ozone levels tomorrow may reach unhealthful levels for the general public, otherwise known as a CODE RED ALERT. Please make plans to try one of the following tips tomorrow and if possible avoid exercising during the heat of the day:

  • carpool to work
  • bring your lunch to work
  • use teleconferencing for meetings at other sites

To encourage employees to take action tomorrow, we will have a drawing of all carpoolers, the winner will receive a premium parking space for a week (or offer some other inexpensive incentive).

If you have any questions please call me at xxx-xxxx or the NC Air Awareness Hotline at
1-888-RU4NCAIR (1-888-784-6224).
